Scheduled for Wednesday, May 25th 2011

Hi All,

I will be having surgery May 25th. My approval went by easily and quickly. The clinic didn't expect it to be so easy and they have drug their feet waiting for approval. I had faith that my ins would follow their policies and it would be quick. So here I am and don't know what time of day my surgery will be and feeling somewhat unprepared. I see the doctor for the pre op tomorrow and hope that will help.

My husband has to work while I am in surgery. A friend will pick me up. What do you all think about that? I've never had surgery pretty much alone, but I don't have other options.

Looking forward to getting this over with and moving on to the next chapter.

I am scheduled for May 25th too! It's going to be a great day in May! My approval went pretty quickly too-my first ever doctor appointment was April 7th and a little over amonth later I'll be in surgery!

I actually thought about having my husband just drop me off. I am still not sure. I know I can absolutely do the surgery on my own and I figure why should he just sit int the waiting room for hours and hours-then I go to recovery after that. I am not sure if I should justtell him to drop me off and since I live an hour away I would probably just let him pick me up the next day. So no I don't think it's odd at all. I think you'll probably be out of it the first half of the day anyway.

Good luck with everything!!

NJGirl, good luck to you! I don't like going without my husband, but there is not any choice. Thank you for responding to my post. Keep in touch, please.
