Banded on Wednesday

Hello everyone. I was banded on Wednesday, April 27th, by Dr. John Marsden in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. I am surprised and pleased to say that I have had very little pain. In fact, I am going back to work three days ahead of schedule. My goal is to lose approximately 150 pounds in two years. I look forward to chatting with you all soon.

Congratulations! I am hoping to be banded in October, and hope I can post the same thing then! I have heard different degrees of discomfort and I am a big baby when it comes to pain, but I honestly don't care at this point, I just want to get it done! Good luck and much success to you!!

Thank you, and good luck and much success to you also. It is a journey, I will tell you that much! If nothing else, recovering from surgery will make you appreciate food. I had tomato basil Soup last night, and chicken tortilla soup broth the night before. You would have thought I was eating lobster and filet mignon! :)

Congrats on being banned. It is good that you have had little pain. I expect to be banded this summer in July and hope the same applies to me. I can usually tolerate pain pretty well, but everyone is different. How is the gas pain for you? Have you had very much as far as gas pains? I heard walking a lot does the trick...does this seem to work? Well good luck and much success for you and your new journey.
