There is no "diet" per se. Every doctor has different suggestions and advice. Some have nutritionists they work with, some don't. I don't follow a diet. I make healthy choices, listen to my body, and quit eating when I feel satisfied.

Some doctors have their patients do a low carb diet. Some have theirs weigh and measure their portions and keep food journals. It is an individual program.

thanks...but im feeling weak.all the time....and there's so much to do....its been 13 days now....since i was banded....

just liquids and soups....when will i get the energy....i am wondering.....yes i have started protien shakes thrice a day. on my doc's advice....but not feeling energetic yet..

Take a look at your protein intake to ensure that you are meeting your protein goals. if you need to you can increase your protein. I would suggest that you give you doc's office a call too!. Good luck.

First, Protein would be my first area of attention. Are you getting AT LEAST 60g? I have found that when I'm higher (like 90g and above) I'm good with energy. I tried to do b12's but I was actually getting what I needed from my daily Vitamin and putting too much in my body and I felt VERY lethargic. So, that is another thing to watch.

Are you on an exercise regimen yet? I have found THAT is what made the HUGE HUGE HUGE difference in energy for me.

Lastly, ask your Doctor to check your Iron levels. You could be anemic which is causing the lethargy issue.

I wish you the very, very best! Please let us all know how you are doing!

You'll probably get more energy when you actually start eating. Two weeks postop and you're still on liquids and soups? Are you sure you're understanding your doctor's instructions. Even the most extreme I've seen still has their patients on mushies by the beginning of week 3.

I'm so very happy my doctor had me back on solid foods at 2 weeks! Don't know how you people do it.
