Newbie & surgery scheduled for 4/13

Hi all! I've been lurking around the boards for a couple of months now and thought I'd post. I went for the intitial consult on 1/4/2011 and after all the evals & stuff, scheduled to have surgery on 4/13/2011.

Because of my insurance, I have to use a Ctr. of Excellence and its Dr. Keshishian doing the surgery.

I don't have to do any pre-op diet or anything other than 2 days before a liquid diet and Clear liquids the day before with the clean out drink  as well. I'm considering starting a liquid diet 2 weeks prior to get myself ready and be used to it by the 13th. I have purchased a bunch of Protein samples to try and I'm looking forward to starting this journey.

Welcome April2011. Good Luck on your journey. The protein will really help you heal after surgery. Hope all goes well-Amanda

Hi there,

I am also getting the lapband on April 13!!! I was surprised how fast the process was because I went to my first appointment was Jan 25 and all preops in February and then Scheduled For april. Lucky for you, you dont have to do a liver reduction diet which is only Protein shakes and liquids. So good luck to you!
