Met with a surgeon today

So, today was the next step in the process. I met with Dr. Weiger at the Weight Loss Clinic as a general appointment to see if I was eligible, which I know I definitely am. So, my next step now is to meet with the actual surgeon on March 30th at 9a and then the nutritionist/dietician on April 7th at 3:30p. I'm excited, but nervous too. I weighed 286 at my first appointment about 2-3 weeks ago and then today I weight 283.4, yay! Then I have a 6 month medically supervised diet to follow, come back once a month to check my weight and then one final appointment before surgery to talk about after care dieting/ect.

So, that's where I stand. I'm still doing the Lose 10 in 10 program through work/Highmark Blue Shield. I keep all food in myfitnesspal on my iPod. I'm still struggling with certain aspects of food, portions, ect. But I'm getting there, it's very time consuming, but so very worth it.

Congrats. Hope your next appointment goes well! The food counting/measuring is tedious, but very much so worth it.

Good luck with everything!!
