anyone having pre-op brittle nails due to dieting???

I was having problems with my hair and nails post-op, so on top of all the other vitamins I take I started taking prenatal vitamins also. They have helped immensely. Good luck

I am post-op by about 8 weeks and I would say that my nails are actually better and stronger now, probably from eating more protein.

I have been on a liquid diet almost 2 weeks now. I take a good daily multivitamin and have 108 gr of protein in my shakes daily and my nails look great.

Your nails completely replace themselves over 3-6 months. So if you're seeing changes after a week or month then you have other issues going on. If you're eating more protein and eating better though you'll notice that your nails will come in stronger, harder, and more resilient. But it takes 3-6 months to see those changes.
