I was wondering if anyone has united Healthcare? I have just recently switched insurance to united healthcare and I'm wondering if they do cover the lapband. This is so important and I have successfully completed all requirements. Please let me know if you have any advice regarding this issue.

My work switched insurance companies from Anthem to UHC on January 1. The band is covered :) My advice is to stay on top of things with them. Almost all of my information transferred over, but they required predetermination and psych eval re submitted. What they told me is that the conversion is fairly simple as long as communication stays open. Good luck~

I have UHC.. they covered it 100%... I pay True Results 1000.00 and the the hospital co-pay of 50.00....They have me for March... Good luck and yes stay on top of them... they got back to me in 2 weeks sooooo... whoohoo and congrats

I have United Healthcare. I called them directly and found out that they do cover the lap band if I meet all requirements. I have only the $300 co pay. Just waiting for my Primary Care Physician to get authorization from Insurance (guess they didnt believe me.....lol) and then I am on the road to Bandland
