Band slipping

My band is sutured in place.

I've been kinda sick since surgery, like 4 weeks now. I have been coughing so hard lately that I'm pretty sure if it were possible, I would have barfed up a lung or two.....or a lap band. Know what I mean? Can you cause "slippage" from this type of thing? I asked in the hospital and they said no, but then the docs want you on a certain diet so you "don't puke". And, how in the world would I even know if the band got ripped away from the skin and slid down or something. Just ideas please, I know we're not doctors here :)

They say excessive coughing warrants a call to the doc...just to be safe.
