Anyone end up with an infection?

I came down with a fever of 101.7 yesterday. My eyes were stinging and running, nose runny.....It seems to be going down but I feel awlful. I might have to head to er today. I've been able to eat but some things just don't taste right. I'm drinking water all day. It may be the flu, I hope it's not an infection somewhere.
