I was banded on 12-20-10 and I brought with me to the hospital : loose fitting pajamas, toiletries, slippers, robe, computer (for down time), gas x stripes.

To alleviate pain - make sure to take your pain meds as often as they are recommended by your doctor.

Gas pain - Use the Gas X stripes and walk, walk, walk. .the more you walk the better off you'll be.

Nausea - Take your nausea meds that your doctor will give you, remember you must make every effort not to vomit to avoid possible band slippage.

Hope this helps you!!

Good Luck!!
