Hi All, I'm Jackie and fairly new to the forum. I'm a 31 yr old mom to one awesome 4 year old and after careful consideration I chose the band. I was supposed to be banded back in May 2010, put my insurance put the brakes on it due to a ridiculous requirement that my employer won't budge around. Sooooo...fast forward to now, Jan 2011...I now meet all requirements and saw my surgeon yesterday for a follow up. They were putting everything back through for approval and I'm just playing the waiting game right now.

I love to read everyone's stories on here because I feel it better educates me before I get my band strapped on! :-)

so.....I'm really hoping I hear something this week. It only took them 2 days to tell me NO last time.

Congrats........I bet you are anxious to get things going huh? I am at the early stages, I have an appt with PCP to discuss lap band. Hope she agrees with me, she should I qualify....I am 38, 5'4 and 280.
