I'm four days post op and haven't have a bowel movement yet. I started passing gas Saturday night. Ive been eating fiber rich foods and taking my stool softener.

How long before you had one?

My first one was on day 7!

On day 5 I did have a small dime sized bowel movement (if you can call it one).

I figured the liquid diet didn't leave a lot to excrete.

I had my surgery on a Monday and by Wednesday I had a decent BM, it didn't take long for me. My doctor suggested taking Maalox if I had trouble going, luckily I didn't.
