Terrible Back Pain

Hi All,

I was banded on 12/9/10 and I'm on Stage 3 which is mushies. I started my journey at 291 lbs in July and then lost 37 before surgery and now I'm down to 244 lbs. I have had terrible mid to lower back pain and lots of gas. I can live with the gas but I haven't been able to find a common culprit on why this back pain flares up when it does. Will this back pain go away? I need to know there is hope as this is the only real problem I'm encountering. If anyone has any knowledge to share I'd love to hear from you. Thanks:)

I was banded on 12-9-10 and am having the same issue with back pain. I have not figured out what triggers it and it is far, far worse than the gas. I hope someone on this list has some answers - thanks for porting this!

Ditto on the bak pain! Mine is in my lower thoracic area (think bra line). It's painful and annoying. My doc said to try Tylenol. Been there, don't that. My only hope is that because it is lower thoracic, if I complain enough I can get an insurance covered breast reduction.
