keep taking your pain meds... on time as prescribed... even when you start feeling a little better. i think the first 3 days after surgery are the worst. it WILL get better!!

so, just relax... take cat naps... don't do too much the first few days while your body recovers.

And keep hydrated! Cat naps!....I was on the recliner most of the day on day 1 thru3! lol that's me. I feel stronger today and thinking about my soft diet in a few days.

hello i was just banded 12.30.2010 as well , im in so much pain lollllll cant laugh right now , i hope things work out for the best for u as well

I was banded on 12/28 and have a lot more energy than those first few days. BUT, you have to relax and rest while you have the chance. Remember to get your Protein in every day, it is crucial for you to heal. What others said about pain meds and keeping hydrated...all very important to healing and recovery.

I know it is easy for my to say not to think about the other problems, but try not to dwell on the negative things going on, just think about YOU! You deserve to take care of yourself while on the road to recovery.
