Pre-op diet

Hi, I'm having my band removed tomorrow at 7:30a. I'm not supposed to eat past midnight, but what about fluids (water/green tea)? I'm assuming we can have fluids more recently than having eaten anything....?

I don't think you're supposed to have ANYTHING after midnight. My guidelines so nothing, no mints, no gum, etc. They need your stomach completely empty. Why are you having your band removed?

Itchy every time I eat, Inflamed sternocleidomastoid muscle (a neck muscle), achey joints...just problems galore since having it put inside of me. For none of it to be caused by the band would be quite a coincidence.

I don't know if you still get on here but I am concerned about this too. I came down with psoriatic arthritis within six months of getting the lapband. I am having mine removed next week. If you happen to see this post please get back to me on your findings after the removal of your lapband. Hope you are doing better.
