Confused

I'm a little over a week past my surgery, the first few days it took forever to get liquids and stuff down and everything has pretty much steadily gotten better. The problem is this morning I woke up and there was a large bruise near the bottom of my belly, nowhere near the incisions but almost like the blood was pooling there. I don't have any pain but at the same time the mild tightness that I felt before is gone. Did get some slippage or something?

Edit: Basically, its a combination of this weird bruise + I feel almost...normal, like I did before hand, with the exception of the healing incisisons, which barely hurt as it is. It just seems a little fast to be feeling normal...

Just quickly before I head to bed - your stomach was swollen after surgery which is why you felt the tightness. Now its probably getting less swollen around your band, so the tightness is subsiding.

I'm not really sure I understand what you mean about the bruise, but there will be a lot of bruising in different areas after a surgery. But if its something that is concerning you, definitely give your surgeon a call.

My belly was bruised where they gave me injectable anticoagulant shots. I had 3 of them over the course of my hospital stay and they bruised big time. My neighbor is a flight nurse and said it is very very common to have bruising if they gave you something like heparin.

There was a lot going on inside, so random bruising would kind of be expected. If you are super concerned, give your Dr a call and see what he/she has to say.

I feel much less stressed about it now, it was where I received multiple blood thinner injections during my stay, and I also sat down and watched TV for a little bit while drinking some water and I could still feel the pressure like before. I think I was just thrown for a loop when I went to go to bed earlier and didn't feel it much. Thanks! I'll keep a good eye on it still too.

I had bruises where my incisions were and then another big one on the total opposite side.

They told me that was normal.. not sure i want to know exactly what they did to me when I was under..lol
