Protein Drinks/Shakes Recommendation??

Can anyone recommend a Protein shake/drink that doesn't smell like a bottle of Vitamins? I just can't get past the smell...totally puts me off. Has anyone tried something they like or at least can tolerate well?

Thanks!

Emily

GNC French Vanilla ON GOLD STANDARD (<--brand name) blended with strawberries and ice is AWESOME. I am so picky about what i eat (hard to imagine i know) and I couldn't even do a cup of ISOPURE or anything else but I LOVE my shakes in the morning. IMO it beats Chick-fila breakfast which was what I was used to.

I drink Champion Pure Whey Stack chocolate. It is pretty popular and I buy it from www.vitalady.com

Unjury powder in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or unflavored. No weird protein taste. Look for it online.

I just bought a 60 dollar container of Isopure (Mango peach) it tastes alright but because I paid so much for it I will make myself like it. The sales man said it is the one of the highest quality protein drink on the market and it has no sugar and no carbs.

Thanks, everyone! I just bought the chocolate and unflavored unjury but will look for those you've mentioned, too. I have next Friday off to get all my pre-op testing done so plan to spend the afternoon checking all this stuff out.

I use IsoPure - its clear and taste fine and it's 100% pure isolate protien (absorbed better than whey protein) and has 50 grams protein per sertving. It's 50 bucks for a huge can at GNC. It last longer for me b/c I use only one scoop at a time, not two.

I just found and absolutely love a GNC product....Pro Performance Liquid Protein. I got a 16 ounce bottle for 14.99 on sale, and it has 18g of protein per serving. Its pretty thick like a cough syrup, but I throw mine in some Berry Flavored Propel and it dilutes it and makes it easier to swallow. I am sooo sick of protein shakes. I need to take in more water anyways, so this is the perfect item for me!! I mentioned it in this link too http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7996&highlight=liquid+protein There are other people on the board who have tried it...and they have some suggestions for its use, like to be put in ice tea...... GOOD LUCK!!

I love the Atkins Advantage Shakes. Chocolate Delight is may favorite! Just make sure that you drink them when they are really cold.

Amplify by Release, you can only but it at a select few GNC'S (Chocolate mixed with some peanut-butter) It tastes like a Reeses Cup!!! I hate shakes and I love this one. I tried the Isopure (YUCK YUCK YUCK, I'd rather drink mud with worms in it) Anyhow try it, it's the best.

A co-worker turned me on to APEX chocolate Protein shake. we can only get it at a Gold's Gym or online. It's $30 for a HUGE tub that will last about a month. i make it with 1% milk and (this is KEY) blend it with ice. it gives it a milkshake consistency.

I am SUPER sensitive to that vitamin-ey taste that a lot of shakes have. Even stuff that my friends swear has no after-taste, I can pick up on. so I highly recommend this.

also - before I found APEX I was using the Slim-Fast Optima shake. not nearly as much protein but tasted just like chocolate milk to me.
