Hello all,

For all the Zumbaholics like myself. How soon after surgery can I anticipate returing to my Zumba classes ?

I have finally found an exercise routine that I truly enjoy, now I am concerned that I may have to wait a long time before I can return. I was told by my surgeons office that I will have my surgery in January. I am bummed because I recently registered for a credited Zumba class for college (PE credit), classes start back up mid January. Now I am afraid I may have to drop the class.

I had surgery on the 30th and that was the question i asked before i left the hospital when can i go back to zumba. My doctor said when you feel ready u can go back its been three days and im not ready yet but give me another week i think i wiil be i dont think u will have to drop the class good luck

Well , I finally have a surgery date , Jan 4th. My classes starts about two weeks after that date. I will have had my first post-op appt by then, so maybe I can still keep this class.

I am praying for a speedy recovery and hopefully the instructor will understand that I will have to REALLY MODIFY the movements for a week or two or three:rolleyes:

Hey there, I'm a newley found "zumbaholic" too... I had my surgery Sept 27th of this year and I was back to full time Zumba in about 2 or 2.5 weeks, with maybe a little less jumping at first. You'll be just fine!! Good luck and congrats on your surgery!!!

I'm so excited, I got my new Bloch's today in the mail. I can't wait to get to a class and try them out. I talked with my surgery educator today, she said the same thing, that I should be back Zumba' ing within about 2 weeks post-op.

Hopefully, my instructor wil be understanding and allow me to modify quite a bit for a couple of weeks.
