Hey there, I'm a newley found "zumbaholic" too... I had my surgery Sept 27th of this year and I was back to full time Zumba in about 2 or 2.5 weeks, with maybe a little less jumping at first. You'll be just fine!! Good luck and congrats on your surgery!!!

    Lapband Newbe

Hi Mike! Congrats on your progress! I was Banded Sept 27..and it looks like were on the same weight track  As far as Vitamins and stuff, I have been taking Centrum Chewable 2x daily, 1 pepcid chewable (just for the first 2 weeks) And chewable gas-x if I need it. I found all of that at Safeway. Anything else you're taking might be hard to find chewable..I guess just search the internet..I'm sure what you need is out there somewhere. Good luck!!!!!!!! Holly
  5. Hi, well I lost 22lbs pre op, and since the band on Sept 27th I've lost 14 more. So, 36 total. Just starting out, but every lb is so encouraging!!! :)

    MUSHIES! What are you eating?

This is a great thread! I get to start Mushies on the 11th...I'm pretty darn excited to take a break from protien shakes!!! I've had mashed cauliflower too...and its really good. If I can do that instead of getting addicted to potatoes again that would be great! Any other mushie ideas???

    Sept. 2010 Bandsters !!!

Hello everyone!! I'm a little late joining in here. I was banded Sept 27 :smile2: and I would love to follow this thread to keep up with you guys! So Im 6 days post op today..and I really am feeling better and better everyday. I havent taken anything for the pain since 2 nights ago and I don't think I'll need it! Drinking Water and protien has gotten sooo much easier in the past 2 days..I could barley get down 12oz of H20 at first, but now Im up to 50-60 and about 40g of protien. I'm so happy I did this...and the coolest part is my husband is going to do this with me!! He is getting banded on Tuesday!!! Yep..just a week apart, and we're sooo glad we can be there for eachother to vent, motivate and encourage eachother. Nothing like having a live-in support system. Anyway I'm glad to be here and I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions along the way. Were off to a great start.....lets all get keep it goin!!!!!!!!!
  14. Hey everyone, Well I got my band monday!! I'm soo excited about it, and the surgeon said everything wen't really really well. I'm home now..doing my thing (walking, Water, and breathing exercies) and the pain really hasn't been too bad. At this point I'm released to eat full liquids...jello, protien shakes, pudding etc, but I have absoultely not been intrested in drinking anything but water! Not hungry for any of that in the least bit. Anybody else kind in the same boat? I guess were just supposed to suck it up and get down what we can? It's kinda nice that I haven't been hungry in 3 days but I know it won't last forever. Thanks for letting me ramble
  15. I made it through the night last night in bed actually but I put like 3 pillows under my knees and that helped a lot. Today in between walking I've been going back in forth to the reliner and then on the couch. I think just changing positions every once in a while helps. Make sure you take some pain meds if you need it!
  16. Hey there, I got banded on Monday as well!!! Congrats! I'm sorry youre not feeling well. My Dr sent me home yesterday with liquid hydrocodone...it doesnt taste good but it totally takes the edge off and I havent felt nauseated once since surgery! When the pain does creep up on me I've found that walking helps more than anything!!! Good luck to you...I think the worst is over for us!! On to a brand new life!!!! Holly
  17. Well tomorrow is my big day as well!!! I can't believe that its finally here...reading all these posts have helped me so much during this pre-op time! It's comforting to know that these "day before" crazy emotions are normal...(excited, scared, nervous, terrified..lol) Good luck Lisa A and anyone else getting banded tomorrow!! See ya on the other side

    It's a GOOOO!!!!

That is awesoeme, congrats!!! I am kinda in the same boat...I finally got my APPROVAL on Monday..and my surgery is scheduled for 9/27!!! It was soooo scary and hearbreaking...orignally my insurance denied me (not enough co-morbidities (whatev)) but then my surgeon appealed and I got it!!! :0) Can't be more excited!!!! Liquid diet is going well, it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe the positive attidude and motivation helps. Good luck to all!!!!! :alien:
