I was just banded on Nov. 19th and I am not sure what or how this is suppose to feel. Whenever I drink something is feels like it is getting stuck in my chest. Is that normal? Sometimes it takes along time to go away. Any information would be greatly appericiated. Also you need to know that my doctor "filled" the band durning surgery.

I had surgery on the 16th and feel the same way. I'm a week out and it's getting better but I still feel the pressure in my chest. Could it be gas?

it could be gas for sure! also, you are really swollen so when you drink (and eventually eat) the vagal nerve could be getting irritated. the vagal nerve is what makes it feel like your chest and back hurts.
