Getting Closer

Hello Everyone!!!!!! Today I Got my 6 months Documentation from my Family Practice Dr. She only gave me three months July, October, and December. Do I need every month or is this good? I also made an appointment to see a dietitian on January 02. I did the blood test to check my thyroid today also and got a referral to see a Psych. Dr. So When I see Dr. Brody on January 20, I will be ready. I am so excited!!!!!!

Hi Connie...Wow Moving right along.

I feel like once you get going on this..it just takes off. About the 6 month diet...you still have some time so continue to see your PCP every month and it is very likely you will need all 6 months by the time it is submitted to insurance for approval.

I have my sleep study tomorrow night, I got my psych referral, but the number is disconnected  . So I have to see what's up with that. My Consult with Dr. Moazzez is 1/28/05 ...:-)

You go connie, good luck and keep moving forward. Like Stockymd said.....continue with seeing your PCP on the 6 month diet.

Good Luck on your sleep study Chris. Where is your study going to be Rockville, Bowie, Laurel, Gaithersburg?

Hey you guys why don't you have tickers yet? I'm sure you guys are losing something.

Hey all....

Thanks goes out to me sis Connie... always supporting me and wanting the best for me. I heard you when you said you hope they let me get the band. I will continue to fight for it one way or the other. We both will see better and healthier days ahead. As I hear Angie in my head saying "You know that's right" :) Keep doing what your doing and you will make it.

Love to ya Karen

Everything went fine Dr. Brody is great. He is really nice and explains everything in depth he also drew alot of pictures for me. Due to my Hypothyroidism he wants 2 more blood test 6 weeks apart and after that and as long as everthing is fine with my insurance company i will be banded the end of March. :clap2: :whoo: :clap2: :whoo: I am so happy i can't wait. So now i need to work on loosing as much weight as possible before March so it will be easy for him, and i have to do 2 weeks optifast diet (not sure what that is just that is is like a liquid diet)to shrink my liver. So here goes the beginning of my new life thank you all for being apart of it.:D Maryland Lap-Band Support group has the best, most caring, and encouraging people you will ever find and i love each and every one of ya. I will see you all soon.:D Carrie that rose is for you i gave one to everyone else when you were gone. To the whole group and everyone else who reads this :)

I am so freaking excited for you! Yay, yay, yay! Optifast is just like a slimfast type deal, it'll be ok, even though obviously it's not real food. This is the beginning of a whole new life. I'm so glad you have this forum to experience everything and have a sounding board for your concerns, questions, whatever. I wish I had this earlier! Again, congratulations and you can do it! Closer than ever!
