I'm in Cheltenham Maryland and it doesn't take me long to get to Annapolis. Our Maryland Lap Band Support Group use to meet at the Borders Book Store. We now meet in the Bowie area or sometimes we travel to members homes in the area.

Hello all, I'm so happy to have the band now. The pain is not so bad. I had a harder time with my c-section then with this. I'm home now laying in my bed with lots of pillows. I'm taking Tylenol 3 for the little pain I do have. My shoulder hurts more then my tummy. I will return to work tomorrow night on light duties. I want to thank you all for supporting me . Thanks to all that attended our one year anniversary on Sunday. I really enjoyed just hanging out and talking with you all. It's nice to have such a wonderful group of people to share with. I understand not everyone was able to attend, So we look forward to meeting with you next month. I will keep everyone updated, we plan to meet at 1 PM on the third Sunday of every month in the bowie area. I'm still on the lookout for a permanent meeting location. For next month I thought it would be nice to have a Bring A Friend Meeting. This will be a good time to bring a friend that is of support to you or that is interested in learning more about the Lap Band. I have learned a lot over the last year and I plan to make the much needed changes to better our group. So look for more wonderful things ahead. I have a consultation date set for Friday with Dr. Brody at GW in DC. So I have been really busy this week making sure I have all documentation together to submit to my insurance company. I'm getting closer and I will post again as soon as I hear back from the insurance company or get a surgery date. Again thanks for all your support. We will talk soon, K
