Approved! Now waiting for a date...

I just found out that my insurance company has approved my surgery! Now I'm just waiting for Monday so I can schedule my surgery! It will probably be in late November or mid December...

Any tips on how to pass the time?

Congrats!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I hope you have your surgery date sooner rather than later. It's so hard to wait! You could spend your time waiting for surgery designing your new life.

Toss out the junk food. Make grocery lists of healthy foods for your liquid weeks, mushie weeks and after. Make an exercise plan that you can stick to and that gets more challenging with time. Ditch any clothing that is currently too big. Plan a new (or expand a current), hobby to help to keep your hands and mind busy and away from food. It's not easy, but it's soo worth it!

good luck,

I have my pre-op appt. with my surgeon this Thursday. We were hoping for the 25th or 26th for my date but I still haven't heard from my insurance and it is making me crazy. I am really hoping it is within the next two weeks or I will have to go through the pre-admission testing all over again. UUGGGHHH! I think you should go for the soonest date they give you because the waiting is very anxiety provoking...at least for me it is. Good luck and best wishes for consistent weight loss!
