I found out from the dr today that I am waiting on a paper from my primary care physician and then it will go to the insurance company. Anyone have any idea how long Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York takes? I sure hope they don't take long! This waiting stuff drives me nuts!

One thing you'll realize on these boards is there is no such thing as a given time frame.

My doctor forgot to fax in the referral. Twice. Once I was out of his control, and only with the surgeon's group it went very fast... they faxed in all req's on 8/17 ish and I was approved by 9/2 (I have BCBS but HMO/Federal Employee/CA).
