Super happy they gave me that date. They basically let me choose. I was suppose by a october band but I need a lil more time to gather money for things I need before I take 3 weeks off for my band n vacation.

Hi Everyone!

I'm scheduled to be banded on November 8th! I have one on one consult with my surgeon on 10/12 and pre-op labs on the 18th.

My date is scheduled for November 2nd. Getting SO excited! 22 days and counting!

My first post!

I am tentatively scheduled for nov 9th. Paperwork being submitted tomorrow after a horrible and arduous two-year Aetna Adventure.

I am... SO... freaking excited. I've been hoping for this for a long time and was just about to give up hope!

I am so happy for everyone I have 30 days left and I can't wait. I had the easiest time with my insurance ever. I was approved in a day times, due to the lady who submit my items she was also a lap band patient and she has very much helped me along the way.

Hi, i'm in the uk but i too am having my band fitted on the 11th November.:smile2:

I just got approved for surgery through TriCare on 10/12/10. I am scheduled for November 1st! I will have to begin my low carb diet on Monday, I am nervous about not being able to stick it. I LOVE BREADS!!!!!

I will be banded on Nov 17, 10 and SO excited...but nervous!!!

I guess I should step up and ask to be in this group as well. As of yesterday, all prerequisites have been met, and my surgeon has gone for approval from my insurance. (Tricare Prime.) I'm told they're quick to approve, and they're trying to pencil in my surgery for early November. We'll see how it goes.

Hard to think that after all this time, it's finally just a few weeks away... :)

Hey..... I ill be banded on November 17th... at first i was like all go for it... but this past week I had a patient who had it done and although everything went well with surgery she apparently threw a DVT or PE and passed away abou three days after surgery... it seem she may have been having trouble breathing, laying around not doing much and using her CPAP machine day and night.... I still want to have the surgery and I am praying about it, but still a little nervous.... Are you scared at all???

Hi there! I just got my date a couple of days ago! I will be banded on November 8! I am nervous and excited for this change in my life. I want to feel healthy and active again!

Hello everyone,

New here too and hoping to be banded this month. I have all of my appointments scheduled for tomorrow and should have the "date" by the end of the day, if all goes well. Thinking about you all and hope to be joining you in this journey. All the best to everyone. MamaJ

Had my EGD today...... got stuck four times, cause my veins wouldn't cooperate.... No sore throat, or pain besides the IV site.... I remember absolutely nothing from the actual procedure.. I remember the anesthesiologist giving me the sleepy juice like he called it, being wheeled to OR, putting mouth piece in and turning over on my side, then waking up about 10 min later....Hope surgery goes this well.....
