I need some help and motivation

Hi everyone I was banded on June 7th and had my first fill of 1/2 cc on August 9th. I have some restriction and when I eat too much I vomit. I have lost a total of 48lbs but I am at a standstill now. I find that I can eat certain things that I feel I shouldn't be able to. I can eat at 12noon 5 wendy's nuggets and half of a baked potato and it will last all day until around 6 or 7pm. I just feel its alot to eat but I am still losing weight. PLEASE HELP I NEED SOME ENCOURAGEMENT!!:(

I can`t offer any advice in regards to the amount of food because I`m not familiar with the sizes of the nuggets. I will however say that you`ve got some restriction because if you are lasting 6-7 hours in-between meals then that`s pretty good. Furthermore, over 40lbs weightloss since June is not bad at all. It`s really great! You`re doing great. Keep up the good work. Try restricting yourself to a single portion of food, keep it healthy and exercise and you will be alright. Congrats on the weight loss so far.

Try ditching the baked potato for something less high glycemic. White carbs (potatoes, rice, bread, pasta) are usually high glycemic and while not forbidden, are suggested to avoid.

Eat broccoli or some other vegetable instead.

I do not lose weight on processed foods. Can you take your lunch instead of eating at Wendy's? Or Wendy's has a side salad, you could bring a pack of tuna and sprinkle it on their side salad with a little dressing for a better choice.

I keep those flat packages of tuna with me at all times with a plastic fork, it really helps if you get caught without something healthy to eat.

You all are soo right and thanks for the input. I HAVE GOT TO CHANGE THOSE NASTY HABITS!! I just needed a little boost, no more wendy's and I went and purchased some lean cusines and vegetables today that I can tolerate fairly well. We'll see how this goes....I have to remind myself that this is a process and takes time. I just like to hear from people that can relate and understand what i'm going through!!

Thanks again

Dont beat yourself up though, at the end of the day it comes down to calories in v calories out and there's no amount you "should" be able to eat or no founds you "shouldnt" be able to eat. What matters is your diet overall, not the odd choice, so whilst nuggets and such are best avoided when you're trying to lose weight (and even when you're not) the fact that you can eat them is not the point. You should aim to generally choose not to.

I've lost all my weight, had my band five years and I can STILL eat bread, pasta, rice and potatoes, I can still eat a heck of a lot of chocolate and I still like my wine. But I've changed the balance, to be more in favour of healthier foods and that's what made the difference.
