First Fill!

I am excited to have my first fill tomorrow. I am 23 days out from surgery and my weight loss has now pretty much leveled off - I am hoping for a little jump start tomorrow even though I know that it often takes a couple of fills to get it right.

I know the doc does the fill and then has you make sure you can swallow Water. Do you go back on liquid for a couple of days?

Hi Molly. My surgery date was 7/14 and I had my first fill today. (1cc). Since it was my first fill I didn't know what to expect and all I can say is you're pricked with a needle (slight pain) and that's it. I did a water test when I left and I passed. The PA suggested that I go back to soft mushy foods for the next two days or even liquids and then try to eat regular foods again. Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted.

Hi,

I had my first fill today. It was a piece of cake...really. The needle is HUGE, but it really doesn't hurt. My doc did it blind, and hit it on the first shot. He did put me back the full liquid diet for 48 hours, after that I can eat what I want. He said to be careful with meats, breads, and fiberous vegetables.

Good luck on your fill. You will do great.

Good Luck! You are so lucky! I have to wait 6 weeks post op...which will be Sept 8. Right now I have no restriction and am really hungry. I feel like I am on a diet right now, and the scale is hardly moving for me. I guess it's cause I lost alot already. I don't know. It's frustrating. My doc says they can do up to 3cc's at the first fill. I am hoping I get some restriction after my first fill. Let us know how it goes!!
