Need help

I need help in a hurry. My husband wants me to fly to North Carolina from Texas (about 2 hours) tomorrow. I will be 5 days post op. I am terrified to fly with the new band. Has anyone flown this soon after surgery and what was your experience?

You really need to call your surgeon tomorrow before you make any decisions. I will tell you what my surgeon told me: no flying for two or three days after a fill because bubbles can develop in the band. I specifically asked about this because I travel for my job and I have always made sure that my fills do not correspond with my travel times.

I agree - I would ask your doctor. All of us are at risk for pulmonary embolisms from surgery and I don't know how long after the surgery this risk is no longer a possiblity.
