Arc trainers vs. Ellipticals?

Have anyone tried the Arc trainers?? I found it better than the regular elliptical. It is less stress on my knees, plus burn twice the calories . :)

I've seen it at the gym but never tried it before. If it burns twice the calories, I'm going to check it out!

Great, let me know how it feels to you?

After your post I tried one yesterday. Really suprised but not for me! I normally swim but on occation will do an hour of elliptical. Hands free so no hanging on swinging my arms like running. The arc for me was not a good motion. Felt super awkward and my knee was not happy. It's funny how a machine wil work for one person and not another.

The first few times I used the Arc Trainer it KILLED my back and was really awkward. I do feel it works my legs more than the elliptical. I use both- one day I do elliptical, one day the ARC, another I jog on the treadmill.

Love the Arc Trainers! Feel like I could go for days on those things!

I wonder there is a recommended height, when working with the ARC trainers? I am 6'1, so my legs are pretty long.
