Just a few quickies before the world changes....

When will i be able to lie down for sleeping again?

When will i be able to bend over to pick things up again or give my girls a bath?

I think it is different for everyone. I was banded on July 16th. I had very minor gas pain, with none in my shoulders.

I slept in bed from the first night post-op. I'm a stomach sleeper and it took a bit to get used to. By the 3rd night I was able to do a modified side sleep and as of last night was able to sleep easily on my side.

I was able to bend over since the first night post-op and it has gotten easier each day.

Good luck, you will do great! :bolt:

I had no pain whatsoever. The gas was uncomfortable for about 2 days.

I hope you sleep lying down. When you sleep standing up, you risk injury if you fall over. You will be fine. The vast majority of us have no issues sleeping immediately following surgery.

As long as you are not picking your girls up, you should be able to bathe the minute you get home from surgery.

Good luck on a quick and painless surgery like most of us had!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
