July 6, 201016 yr Well I know its pretty early to be posting this, but after my surgery 2 weeks ago I lost 15lbs and now the scale won't move! I'm eating the same and walking the same but nothing! I'm getting in 50grams of protein and 800 cals a day
July 6, 201016 yr You are probably not eating enough calories. If you cut your calories too low then your body responds by dropping your metabolic rate. It gets worried there is not a good food supply and wants to save fat to run essential organs until the food supply becomes more reliable...this is the root of all weight-loss evil!!!
July 6, 201016 yr You're only a few weeks out from surgery, so give your body a break. It does need to heal. As for your rapid weightloss after surgery, that's very common, and you've got to be ready for it to slow down, because it will/always does. Try to play with your calories, and add in some exercise, and the scale will move.
July 7, 201016 yr Throw away the scale. It will only mess with your mind, drive you crazy, and make you feel bad about yourself.
