OMG-this is sooooooooo slow

I need miracle weightloss-this is too slow for me but good news is I am losing and not gaining and I got a membership to a new gym-Lifetime Fitness-which I love-this is a great gym to go to-they have lots of good stuff to do and I dont feel like Im working out with skinny people only like I did with 24hr fitness.I felt like crap and rarely went to 24hr plus half their damn stuff isnt 24hr anyway-pfft.

I have currently lost 46 pounds since surgery and 64 since weightloss camp summer of 2004

We are pretty much on par...except I was banded before you. I know I am on the slow end of ppl banded the same time, but I dont feel deprived in anyway. I want this weight loss to stay off for life so I want to be able to maintain how I am living for life. I could lose more alot quicker if I cut the chocolate and other bad things, but I find it so hard, so the couple of bites I have a day keeps my weight loss to a minimum but its definately something I can stick with. I dont know how true it is, but they say if you lose weight slowly it stays off longer...look at it that way. Now that I have wrote all that I sit here and think Oh Gee compared to most mine is slow...I want to get a move on...They have just opened a contours in the next suburb, might go find out about it and start the exercise back up.

Good Luck

Wow, 46 pounds since April is great! You don't even qualify for membership in the Turtle Tribe, excellent work! I know you want it gone NOW, we all do. But you are doing great, so keep it up!

Courage!

You are doing great! Keep up the good work. I would rather have mine come off slow than fast. Your skin bounces back better if it comes off slower!!! That is a plus im my book. Smaller chance of having to get a tummy tuck! OUCH!

I started out in October at about the same weight as you. I will be very pleased to have lost 46 pounds in 7 months! You are doing great.

wow you are doing great with the weight loss and i tend to agree with kathy473

i would much rather not need a tummy tuck.which would probably be needed with the rapid weight loss.i have my consult for my surgery today, so i am nervous! but you are doing great! good luck, keep your head up!

Alatina,

You are doing great. I have similar dates/stats and haven't done nearly as well as you are but I'm excited about my loss. Sorry that you are feeling it isn't going fast enough. Maybe working out on a more regular basis will help. I have exercised at least 5 days a week for 40-90 minutes for the last 2.5 months. It isn't making me lose pounds any faster but I have dropped sizes.

Good luck. Celeste

I joined Lifetime fitness too & LOVE IT!! I have felt very comfortable there. If anyone needs a little incentive to work out, I would definately encourage you to check these gyms out if you have one in your town. I look forward to working out.

I am thrilled that my weight loss has been "slow". My body has time to adjust which means the chances of me ever gaining back this weight is very slim.

My friend had Gastric Bypass surgery the same day that I did. She has lost 80 lbs & I am at 36 lbs. However, her skin is HANGING on her & her face looks very sunken in. I am THRILLED that I won't have any of that. This is all GOOD!!
