Does my surgeon hear me?

I was banded in Nov 2009 and was really excited and interested in the whole process. I started at 205 lbs and am hoping to get to 122 lbs. Well, I am 8 months post op and I have ONLY lost 18 lbs!!!! I believe that my problem is that my surgeon doesn't seem to like to give me fills. I have had about 4 fills and am at 6cc in a 10cc band. I just don't think that he hears me when I am talking about how I don't feel "restriction" like everyone else. I definately have NOT found my "sweet spot" and so desperately want to. Also, my husband and I are ready to get pregnant but I was hoping to loose a good amount of weight first....I am so frusterated...any advice? Please? :)

I was banded October 2009 and I have lost 67 pounds. I have 4.5cc in a 10cc band (I have had 5 fills). I don't have restriction all the time, depends on what I am eating. I limit my intake to no more than 1 cup of food at a meal (since that is the max your pouch should approximately hold). If you don't have restriction then you have to have more control over your diet. Remeber your lap band is a tool and sometimes you have to help that tool to make it work. I would write down your calorie intake each day to see how much you are eating since you do not have good restriction.
