acid reflux?

Have been dealing with this every night when I lay down; acid starts to fill my pouch and back up into my throat. I then have to vomit, then I can go to sleep. This has been happening for about two weeks, and I need to see my doctor. Anyone ever had this problem?

I've had that problem...as have others. You're lucky you've lost most of your weight before the problem kicked in. :)

Do a search of some of the threads using acid reflux in the search box... you'll find some ideas (stop eating early...flush out the pouch drinking Water...try taking something like pepcid before bed... raise the headboard a few inches...)

I have the same thing...throwing up whatever's left helps a bunch. But hardly a good remedy since hurling can damage band/increase slippage risk. I'm probably going to have to get band removed if it doesn't resolve somehow. Prescription meds haven't worked.

Do you have a fill? Taking the fill out or reducing it is helpful.

Good luck to you.

hi

Like dishdiva said.....Im on Nexium and it doesnt really help..well a little....but when my fill is to tight I get the night reflux and that is terrible.....

So do all the things like not eating after 19:00,lifting the bed ect ect and go for a slight unfill....it really helps most.....

Hope you can resolve the problem..
