  1. Thank You Everyone for your support. The acid reflux has disappeared, and I am following a liquid diet. Hoping for the best!!!!!!!!
  2. Well, the tests confirmed today that there is a slippage. Dr. Pupokova removed all the saline(1cc.) and I have to check back with them next week. She thinks that they will have to fix the slip laprascopic. I am devastated to say the least. I have changed my lifestyle completely since the band, do all the right things etc. and then this happens. But Thank you ALL for your support. Alexandra, I will say hello to the doctors, maybe we can meet one of these days.
  3. Hello all, I am scared to death. I just found out from Dr. Bertha that this persistent nighttime acid reflux is more than likely a slippage. I am going tomorrow to Morristown Radiology to have x rays and a swallow study done. I am so afraid of the possibility of losing my band. I know it sounds strange, but the band has changed my life completely, and I don't know what I would do without it. HELP!!
  4. Have been dealing with this every night when I lay down; acid starts to fill my pouch and back up into my throat. I then have to vomit, then I can go to sleep. This has been happening for about two weeks, and I need to see my doctor. Anyone ever had this problem?

  6. I have been checking in and reading about how everyone is doing. I hope that doesn't sound too creepy, but on my harder days, I find so much comfort in this forum.
  7. I think Alex has a big point with the mind thing. I can't understand why some days there is more restriction than others. Today I felt like I could really pack it in there, but then there are nights at the dinner table when I am lucky if I can get a couple of tablespoons in. I just had my first fill on 10/28/04. Exactly how much food is the pouch supposed to hold at a time? I am feeling a little discouraged because my weight has not budged since last week.
  8. How soon after a fill do you start to lose weight? I had my first fill on 10/28/04. I don't really feel too different.
  9. I strongly advise being very careful with breads. Sometimes I get the feeling that I am trying to swallow a softball. This restriction is without a fill, which I am scheduled to have on 10/28/04. I find great satisfaction in filling up on proteins, and carbohydrates used to be my downfall. I absolutely love my band, and can't imagine my life before. There are so many upsides to the procedure than downsides. Go For It!!!
  10. I was banded on 7/26/04. I am down 14 lbs. I am noticing now that it is taking longer to get full and I can eat larger amounts than last week. Any help? Thank You!!
  11. I am 7 days post op, on full liquids. I am feeling much better, but have this heavy pain between my breasts that travels up my esophagus. Not really heartburn, but is relieved by burping. Any advice?
  12. Could anyone suggest a protein source in pill form etc. I am having some hardship taking tha Adkins shake.
  13. I am having a very hard time finding a protein supplement that I won't gag on. Does anyone know of pills etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Welcome from Lake Hiawatha, NJ where are you from?
  15. I was feeling so down yesterday, but today I feel like 200% better. I was banded on 7/26/04, and was wondering how often I should be eating or drinking. Any advise from those of you who have been there-done that. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I know what and how much, I just need some guidelines on how often.
