A couple dumb questions

1. Why are there 5 incisions?

2. How are medications absorbed after surgery? in the small pouch? do they slide into the main/bigger stomach? or is it absorbed in the small intestine?

    Two for scopes; two for instruments and one for the lapband and port.

    The same way they are absorbed prior to surgery.
