Is this normal?

I am 12 days post op, doc said I could move to mushies and tonight I ate a can of tuna w/2 tablespoons light mayo and melted shredded cheese on top and 3 tablespoons hummus. Seems like a lot, what do you think?

I'm 19 days out and my doctor prefers that we stick to 2oz of food at at time - essentially it equates to a shot glass full (egg beaters, tuna, beans, cottage cheese etc). It seems every doctor is different, but a whole can seems excessive to me. Especially since I'm in the same stage and am eating much less than that, I physically could eat it I think but it's against my doctors recommendations.

My doctor says up to a 1/2 cup of food at a meal is acceptable. I haven't gotten to solids yet, still on clear liquids, but the booklet he gave me says 1/2 cup is okay. Good luck!
