Have I done major damage?

I am 5 days post op and drank a bunch of Soup really fast (no chunks or anything) and now my side feels like it is splitting.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Relax, sounds like you took in too much food and you are experiencing the "full" sensation.

Just be sure to stick to your surgeon's post-op diet and you will do fine.

Thanks Happy, I just got scared b/c I have some strong pain in my side, not as if there is too much food in my throat like what I think being stuck might feel like but feel like the pouch is soooo stretched out. I hope it goes away soon, this is very uncomfortable.

Hey there!

It could also be gas. Very common in the first 2 weeks post op. I had major gas pains after eating that were on my side.
