What happens if you're sick?

My husband's surgery date is 1 week from today, June 2nd. He has just developed a sinus infection. Does anyone know what happens if you're sick? Do you think the surgery will be rescheduled if he's still sick by then? Has anyone been on antibiotics during surgery?

Pretty certain it will be postponed. I'm coughing and hacking, my sinuses are stuffed and my doctor's office wouldn't move the date up a week because of it. Especially if he's taking meds for it.

My husband just got off the phone with the Dr. They are prescribing him Levaquin to take for the next 7 days and they believe he should still be able to have the surgery! :smile2: They will check him beforehand to make sure the congestion is gone & that he doesnt have a fever. The anesthesiologist will have the final say.
