I'm on my 7th day. Unfortunately, for the next week I'll be on nothing but protein shakes. I'm not complaining. Anything to be free from those damn Profect protein tubes. That stuff is horrible.

What are your doctor's instructions for this phase of eating? We can't give recommendations without knowing this, because each of our doctors has a slightly different approach.

Bariatriceating.com has lots of ideas and recipes for the stages of postop eating.

Good morning, Thank you u for the replies... I was told a soft foods diets but all it say is scramble eggs, yogurt, and string cheese.... Unfortunately my surgeon is gone to a Convention for the weeknd:frown: so I cant get any advice from him.... I guess I better just eat eggs and yogurt to be on the safe side...

BetsyB, that is an awesome site and I have already printed off some recipes. Doing the Simple Black Bean soup for lunch and Thursday when I go Soft oh the choices. Thanks!

I went for my second post-op check yesterday, at 11 days out, and was cleared to eat soft foods. That list includes canned tuna and chicken...yea...meat! Also, soft scrambled eggs, over-cooked large Pasta (no spaghetti), cottage cheese, refried Beans, soft fruits and things like that. Next week I can add fresh chicken and fish...I am looking forward to that. Hope this helps.
