Get Inspired!

Hey everybody! I just finished watching Ruby on Style network. This show is very inspirational to me. I really appreciated this episode because it really touched on food addiction and causes for it. It was emotional for me and kinda therapeutic! I recommend everyone check out tonight's episode, it might make a difference. Strength to all!:thumbup:

I love this show.:thumbup: I have been very interested in the therapy part of the program and try to see where it may apply to me. Last night as Tenni asked them to remember their childhood, it had me thinking, before I knew it I was eating something I should not have and I knew I was not even hungry. LIGHTBULB!!!

My husband first noticed about 11 years ago that I use food to deal with stress and emotions. We were discussing my recent phone call with my mother (who informed me that my step-dad was leaving her) and I was cutting up cubes of cheese and eating it WITHOUT even realizing I was doing it!

I have also noticed that I do use food, t.v, computer, ect...to numb my mind and not have to think about things. I noticed this on a 10 hour road trip where I did not have these things to distract me. Before I knew it - I was thinking about all sorts of relationships that have caused me pain.

Maybe I should see a therapist! :thumbup::blink:

I also wish we could have a WFN in my area.

I think it's really good you are looking into stuff! It made me do the same thing. My boyfriend and I talked about my 'demons in the closet' that may have triggered my problems with food and weight. It narrowed down to my mother and some other things too. I think by analysing myself it will only better help me with my goals and gain control over my stuff!!

Hey there! She can be annoying with her southern drawl whinning, for sure! This episode gives you a little insight to where that might be coming from though. It's a good one.
