Classic positive feedback loop. Swelling causes vomiting, which causes more swelling. If she hasn't already, she's got to go back to an all liquid diet and give the stomach time to recover. Even the mushies have to go. At two weeks there's no way she should have even thought about Pasta salad. Pasta is one of the foods that has a high tendency to not go down well at the best of times.

If she is keeping down liquids then she should stick to the liquid diet for a day or two to see how things to. If she's not keeping liquids down then yeah, she needs to fess up to her doctor what she did maybe he can prescribe a liquid anti-inflammatory.

I agree with the above poster.

I have not been able to eat Pasta of any kind for 9 months. It is one of the things I just accept will never cross my lips again.
