quick question about fills

Hello everyone,

I'm a freshman in college, 18 years old, and I've got a question.

I go to school five hours away from my home town and I really want the lap band surgery (already am going to see a doctor in june). However, how am I supposed to get my fills?

Can I get fills at my local hospital? Or do they have to be done by the surgeon that did the procedure?

Thanks guys!

I'm in NZ so I can't be too much help but maybe try calling up medical centres/clinics in the areas close to your college and ask if they do banding fills? :w00t:

it depends on the situation mostly, my suregon doesnt want anyone but his own staff doing my fills and unfills. in case of emergency im supposed to call him first and talk to him about going to the ER and what not. but if your going to be living near school id have it done by a local doctor there not in my home town

I got the band when I was 18 and I live 3 hours away from my hometown(where I had surgery.) And let me tell you, even that sucks pretty bad. haha But like everyone said just call around. I'm in a state that only has about 3 places, all on opposite corners, that do lapband and they won't touch another doctor's band so...
