Tingling port site

Hi all.

I had my surgery 4 years ago, and I've had no problems at all. But over the last couple of months I have noticed a strange tingling sensation that seems to be localized in the area where the scar is from the port entry, just under my ribs on the left side.

I only get this when I lie down for more than a couple of minutes.

There is no pain, and the tingling is not present in any other part of my body, so I don't think it's nutrient deficiency. And as my surgery was so long ago it seems unlikely to be surgical complications.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I wouldn't worry! I am guessing you just have small nerve that for some reason it is just now started to reconnect and you are feeling the firing sensation of the nerve which causes a tingly feeling. I cut through my nerve in my finger and it took about 5 years to come back! Weird I know!

Thanks for that, makes a lot of sense. I damaged the nerves in one of my fingers about 8 years ago (cutting up cabbage for the cabbage Soup diet, lol) and I still get weird tingling and numbness there too.

I don't know why I didn't think of it. Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

Congratulations on only having 4lb to go to your target!
