PJ bottoms - essential for walking after surgery

Lip balm - you will be dehydrated after surgery and your lips will be dry.

Warm drinks - I found these to be very smoothing after surgery. Tea, S/F hot apple cider, stock cubes in hot water, etc.

- just a few of my favorite things!

Good luck for the 12th

Hi, Scott! Congratulations!! My best advice for you is to:

1. Take before photos asap (you will want them later)

2. Take your measurements asap (same!)

3. Write out a post-op plan for success -- your plan for what you are going to do to make the band work for you. I did one b/c one of the books I bought before surgery recommended it, and I found it to be really helpful. Here is a link if you want to see what I wrote for mine.

4. If you have a lot of different sized clothing in your closet, go through it and organize it by size. That way you'll know what you have and will be able to find things you already own to wear as you lose weight.

5. Think out carefully who you are going to tell about your surgery. Some people tell everyone, some tell almost no one -- there is no right way to do it, but it's good to think out what will work best for you ahead of time, if you haven't already.

I hope that helps!!

Best wishes,

Catherine
