My name is Sophie. I am from Birmingham, UK

My Aunt had a gastric band in December 2009. She's doing really well.

I went to see my doctor in January 2010. He referred me to the dietician at the hospital. You have to see them to be able to see the weight loss Surgeon.

I went to see him 1st March. I am booked now to see the dietician and the surgeon in June. I need to be 7lbs down from what I was at the hospital in March.

I've been building up my own business and let things go and gained some more weight. I feel really down about this. From today I am back on the ball. I have joined this forum to get my focus back and to talk to others who are also waiting for their ops. And, those who have had it and can give advice

Hi Sophie! Congrats on the start of your journey. Don't be too hard on yourself for letting your weight go during your stessful time- we've all been there before & we all have to start somewhere! This forum is really helpful & the people on it are truly compassionate & empathetic. Sometimes a thread has a slow start so I like to bump them up by commenting.
