Newbie questions

I am getting banded on 3/18. I start my clear liquids on 3/8. Can anyone tell me about how much protein you should have per day? One website I looked at said .75 per k of body weight. Since I'm at 300 lbs that would be a lot of protein!! Also I've read that sometimes after banding it's possible to become lactose intolerent. Does this happen right after banding? Does it have to do with sugars in the milk? I drink skim milk with my coffee & love dairy. I appreciate any info you can give!!

The lapband guide that my surgeon gave me at my pre-op appointment is only about 20 pages and I think it says that women should get 50 and men 63 grams of Protein at least 30 times throughout the booklet.

So, I think the answer is 50 as Denise mentioned.
