Made it through the FIRST Day

Whoop Whoop... Today was my first day back to work since my Band and Knee surgerys... Nobody at work knows I have been banded... They had a HUGE Mexican food Potluck Welcome Back party for me and I was sooooo scared to eat.... I nibbled on some meat from an enchalada with some sour cream on it to take the spicyness out of it and I had about 2 tbsps of mexican rice, I had a tiny bit of lettuce salad and about 3 bites of tres leches cake.... No PBing incidents no questions about the small quantity of food (There's about 25 of us so every body was busy laughing and talking and socializing!)... I did it... I made it through a social event planned around food and I didn't embarrass myself.... HIGH 5!!!! I drank a Protein shake later in the day when I started feeling hungry.... and I had a V-8 to drink on the 30 minute drive home...

I won't mention the fact that my Dr wanted me to do Mushies for 2 days, so I wouldn't have any stuck issues... I was so extremely careful with what little I did eat...

Thank you Leigha and I didn't mention the fact that everyone was ooohhing and Awwwing and telling me how fantastic I look (and I've only lost 1/3 of my goal weight....)

How are you doing since your last fill? Are you still seeing progress again? I can already see a difference! My scale finally moved down for the first time in 3 weeks... I can't weight for weigh in Monday for the Easter Challange so I can officially change my ticker.... Thank you so much for the support you give.... Today is Friday and a VERY HAPPY day....

Congrats on making it through the social event. I'm at the point now where I don't feel I could ever eat out again. I've PB'd twice this week and really have some great restriction. The problem is now I'm afraid of food. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat in a social setting again. I know I'll get past this, just not right now. Glad you're doing so well!!!

You handled that luncheon so great. Keep up the good work. Just watch that rice. That was a hard one for me.

I am a little tight since my last fill, I am trying to wait it out and hopefully loosen up. I can drink water and protein shakes fine but I have to eat sooo sloowly it is driving me crazy. I guess illuminationlady and I are going to do the too tight thing together. Last night I ate 4 crackers with cheese spread for a snack while I cooked dinner then I was so full I couldn't eat the rest of the night. (Bad Leigha!) So back to the rules. Protein first. But I did lose a pound on the scale today (Yeah me!) so I moved my ticker. I am more of an instant gratification girl, I'm not about to wait for Monday weigh in. I'm glad to see you doing well today, have a good weekend.

Oh I am right there in the tightness with you ladies... Thats why I was sooo terrified when it came time to eat... Each time I took a nibble, I chatted ahile with my colleagues to make sure it went down okay before taking another bite... My Protein shakes and V-8 juice is on the thick side and takes a good 30-45 minutes to get a whole one down... This is a struggle for someone who used to gulp everything and gobble their food so quickly... Even up through my first fill!

It wasn't until my second fill that I actually had to change my ways..... Now I get tired of eating long before the food is even gone...
