Banded Feb 9, 2010

I'm just over a week out from having my band put on. I do have some morning nausia, but other then that things are going along well. I haven't had any hunger problems until today, it was the first time that i even felt hungry. I had my surgery done At St Lukes In Phoenix AZ by Dr Juarez. I feel like i'm ready to start eating "mushy" foods but i guess i have to wait a couple more weeks. When did everyone else start to eat other then liquids?

Hi Don -

I'm a firm believer in listen to your body, not your doctor. I began eating mushies on day 3 as needed. My post-op diet said not til day 3, but my body said otherwise. After speaking with my surgeon he said it was fine if I was able to tolerate it, which I was.

So I would check with your Dr and see what they say. Hope that helps
