Alone and in pain

Hi, I am new to this. My surgery was nearly 3 years ago and I have never had support or help in this way. I have been fortunate and lost all my excess weight within the first 18 months. Now after all this time, I am in severe pain when I eat one bite or take a drink of anything. I am alone and very scared. When I tried to contact my doctor, I was informed he has moved and the nurses never call back. I keep hoping it will "get better" but doesn't it sound like a slip??? I was self-pay and if I have to have surgery, will my insurance cover it? How do I find the answers to these questions??? PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP ME...

you need to call your family doctor if you cannot get a hold of your surgeon. You need to be looked at. Don't delay this.

It very likely COULD be a slip.....but, don't take the word of anyone here on that.

DO see your surgeon, or ANY surgeon/Bariatric Doctor that you can find. You don't want to mess around with this, seriously.

Did the practice move or just the doctor? Give them another call and demand to be seen. If they are no longer there go to your family doctor who can help treat you in the mean time. If his/her skills are limited in that area start calling around to different bariatric offices to see who can take you as a patient. DO NOT WAIT! It could be somthing minor but it could also be something that needs imediate attention!!! Please see someone soon. Best of luck.
